Musical Journey
My Impact as a Musician
I’ve been a classical violist for 20+ years, performing and educating musicians from beginner to advanced levels, designing string curricula and directing rehearsals and recitals.
Researching and implementing best practices and systems as a professional performer and instructor ensures proper musical technique and adaptive learning styles for students.
Alongside developing musical technique, I teach music as a language using reading skills, music theory determination, communication, patience, empathy, anticipation, and critical thinking through musical expression.
Musical Journey
I’m an established violist, Suzuki Violin Certified Instructor, & creative professional in Seattle with 20 years of experience as a classical musician. I hold a Master of Music in Violin String Pedagogy from the University of New Mexico, and a Bachelor of Arts in Viola Performance from Northern Arizona University.
As a certified Suzuki teacher from early childhood music to Book 10, I have teaching down to a science. My niche approach to teaching the violin & viola focuses on musical technique that fits the individual. Each lesson is a learning environment unique to the student to create self expression, sensory development, patience, discipline, and musical maturity.
